The idea for The Art of Saudi Cooking was established as a publication and cultural initiative by the Al Nahda Society (Cultural Committee) in 1401 H / 1981 This book is considered the first initiative of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dedicated to the culinary arts. Its purpose is to document traditional dishes and recipes from all regions of the Kingdom, making them accessible to every household, promoting Saudi cuisine, and preserving its authentic and diverse culinary heritage as a trusted reference for future generations.
The book features valuable contributions from a distinguished group of Saudi women who shared recipes for a wide variety of traditional dishes. One of its defining features is the careful standardization of ingredient measurements for each recipe through the use of precise measuring tools and scales.
