Sameer Al-Daham is a Saudi visual artist born in Jubail in 1955 (1374 AH). A pioneer in Saudi Arabian plastic art, he belonged to the generation who learned from the kingdom’s founding artists. In 1977, he was appointed Chairman of both the Fine Arts Committee and the Media and Publishing Committee of the Culture and Arts Association. Additionally, he worked as the supervisor of the Arts Department at Al-Jazeera newspaper starting in 1976.
