Born in Al-Zubair, Iraq (1936), Abdullah Abdul Karim Al-Sheikh is a leading artist in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. He honed his craft at the Institute of Fine Arts (Iraq) and furthered his studies in design and printing (England). Debuting in 1982, he participated in over 60 group exhibitions and represented Saudi Arabia in prestigious biennales. His artworks grace airports, and government institutions, and are considered treasures of Saudi art. He actively participated in art juries, solidifying his influence on the region’s art scene.
