Born in 1942 in Morocco, he studied under the artist Mohamed Issiakhem. He is affiliated with the “Issiakhem and Ousham” school and is renowned for his works that encapsulate Algerian Maghreb-African culture. He has participated in numerous art exhibitions across Algeria, the Arab world, and Europe, earning many awards and widespread acclaim. His works are rich in symbolism, rituals, and folk myths, employing various techniques in his paintings and installations. He is considered an exceptional artist who has significantly enriched the Algerian and Arab artistic scene.
